Co-I and Data Analyst Needed for 4 year NEO Investigation Project.

  • Co-Investigator
    Applicant must be an optical observational astronomer and have experience in management of multiple smaller observatiories and hands-on skills with a variety of telescopes. Must have extensive experience in astrometry of Minor Planets (NEO work highly desirable). Must be able to stand in for PI and manage 3 observatories, perform nightly triage of NEOs to be observed, morning analysis. Must have or will have completed at least a Masters degree by 1/1/17. Must work closely with PI, manage a data analyst, interface with hardware and software vendors as well as research design consultants. Good communications and people skills highly desirable. Programming in Visual Basic is a plus. Position requires being on location in S. Arizona. American citizenship or permanent work visa required. Some travel to remote site.   • Data Analyst

Must have or completed Bachelors degree or higher by 1/1/17. Must work closely with PI and Co-I and interface with software and research design consultants. Good communications and people skills highly desirable. Programming is Visual Basic is a plus. Position may be via telecommunications. American citizenship or permanent work visa required.
